We're excited to announce the launch of our new real-time shipment tracking portal — a major upgrade to the way our clients monitor and manage their air freight shipments. Built from the ground up based on client feedback, the new portal provides end-to-end visibility from the moment your cargo is picked up in Turkey to final delivery at the destination, with live updates, proactive alerts, and a suite of tools designed to make your logistics operations more efficient.
Why We Built a New Tracking Portal
Over the past two years, we've been listening carefully to our clients about what they need from a shipment tracking system. The feedback was consistent: they wanted real-time updates (not just milestone events), proactive notifications when something changes, easy access to documents, and the ability to share tracking information with their customers and colleagues without giving them access to our full client portal.
Our previous tracking system was functional but limited — it showed basic milestone events (picked up, departed, arrived, delivered) but didn't provide the granular, real-time visibility that modern logistics operations require. The new portal addresses all of these gaps and adds several features that our clients hadn't even asked for but immediately recognized as valuable when they saw them in beta testing.
Key Features of the New Portal
Real-Time Flight Tracking
The new portal integrates with live flight data to show you exactly where your cargo is in the air. When your shipment is on a flight, you can see the aircraft's current position on a map, the estimated arrival time, and any delays. This is particularly valuable for time-sensitive shipments where knowing the exact arrival time enables you to coordinate ground transportation and customs clearance in advance.
Proactive Exception Alerts
Instead of waiting for you to check the portal, the new system proactively notifies you when something requires your attention. Alerts are sent via email, SMS, or push notification (your choice) for events including:
- Flight delays or diversions affecting your shipment
- Customs holds or examination requests
- Temperature excursions on cold chain shipments
- Delivery attempts and delivery confirmations
- Document requests from customs authorities
- Estimated delivery time changes
New Portal Feature Highlights
- Real-time flight tracking with live aircraft position
- Proactive exception alerts via email, SMS, or push notification
- One-click document access (AWB, invoice, packing list, customs docs)
- Shareable tracking links for customers and colleagues
- Temperature monitoring dashboard for cold chain shipments
- Multi-shipment dashboard with filtering and search
- API integration for ERP and WMS systems
- Mobile app for iOS and Android
Document Management
All documents related to your shipment — airway bill, commercial invoice, packing list, customs declarations, delivery receipts — are stored in the portal and accessible with a single click. No more emailing your account manager to request documents. You can download individual documents or export a complete document package as a ZIP file. Documents are retained for 7 years to support audit requirements.
Shareable Tracking Links
One of the most requested features was the ability to share shipment tracking with customers and colleagues without giving them access to your full account. The new portal generates a unique, secure tracking link for each shipment that can be shared with anyone. The recipient sees a clean, branded tracking page with the shipment status and estimated delivery time — no login required.
"Visibility is the foundation of trust in logistics. When our clients can see exactly where their cargo is at any moment, they can plan with confidence and communicate accurately with their own customers. That's what this portal delivers."
Cold Chain Temperature Dashboard
For clients shipping temperature-sensitive cargo — pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, chemicals — the new portal includes a dedicated temperature monitoring dashboard. Temperature data from the data loggers in your shipment is transmitted in real time and displayed as a graph, with automatic alerts if the temperature goes outside the specified range. This feature alone has been described by our pharmaceutical clients as a game-changer for their GDP compliance processes.
API Integration
For clients who want to integrate shipment tracking data directly into their ERP, WMS, or customer-facing systems, we offer a comprehensive REST API. The API provides access to all tracking events, document downloads, and alert configurations. Full API documentation is available in the developer portal, and our technical team is available to support integration projects.
How to Access the New Portal
All existing clients have been migrated to the new portal automatically. Your login credentials remain the same. If you haven't logged in yet, visit the tracking portal link in your account welcome email or contact your account manager for access.
New clients are automatically set up with portal access when their first shipment is booked. The mobile app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play — search for "Turkey Air Cargo" to find it.
What's Coming Next
The launch of the new portal is just the beginning. Our product team is already working on the next set of features, including: predictive delivery time estimates using machine learning, carbon footprint tracking for each shipment, integrated customs pre-filing, and an enhanced analytics dashboard for clients who want to analyze their shipping patterns and costs over time. We'll be sharing updates on these features in the coming months.
